Tetramorium is a genus of ant of the subfamily Myrmicinae. Its member species are mostly distributed throughout tropical Asia and Africa although others are found in Europe and the Americas.
Ants of this genus retain a functional sting. As with all members of the Myrmicinae subfamily, the petiole (or "waist") has two nodes and the pupae lack cocoons.
