Camponotus consobrinus is a species of carpenter ant which is endemic to Australia.
Known as the banded sugar ant owing to its orange and brown striped body and apparent strong attraction to sugary foods. C. consobrinus farms aphids and is also predatory. They are a large species with workers reaching up to 15 mm in length.
