Mark Moffett, born January 1958.
One of only a handful of people to earn a Ph.D. under the world's most respected ecologist, E.O. Wilson. Mark Moffett is one of them. All this in spite of being a high school dropout. National Geographic has called him "the Indiana Jones of Entomology". Mark taught himself photography to document his doctorate, later going on to become a leading photographer.
