Horace St. John Kelly Donisthorpe (17th March 1870 - 22nd April 1951) was an eccentric British myrmecologist and coleopterist. He is often considered to be the greatest figure in the history of British myrmecology. Donisthorpe was a Fellow of the Zoological Society of London and a Fellow and Vice-Chairman of the Royal Entomological Society and published some 800 books and articles

Donisthorpe was also memorable because he was often considered overeager in his attempts to describe new species of ants and beetles. He attempted to rename genus Lasius after himself as Donisthorpea.
